Companies House (UK)

Companies House is the United Kingdom’s official registrar of companies. Every company incorporated in the UK is recorded on its statutory register, along with the people who run and control it. UserSearch integrates Companies House as a Module, giving you register-backed company and officer lookups directly inside the platform.

Companies House maintains the public register for England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. UK companies are legally required to file incorporation details, annual accounts, and changes to their directors and ownership. The register is a primary, authoritative source for corporate identity: rather than aggregating third-party data, it reflects the filings companies themselves are obliged to submit.

For a UK company or officer, Companies House can surface:

  • Company name and registration number (the unique company number)
  • Company status — active, dissolved, in liquidation, and similar
  • Registered office address
  • Incorporation date and company type
  • Officers — directors and secretaries, with appointment and resignation dates
  • Filing history — accounts, confirmation statements, and other statutory filings

  2. Enter your input — a company name, company number, or officer name.
  3. Choose the Companies House Module (or run OneScan to query it alongside other Corporate data sources).
