PIPL
PIPL is a people-identity resolution service integrated into UserSearch as a Module (data source). When you run a search that draws on PIPL, UserSearch queries it on your behalf and returns the identity records it holds for the identifier you entered.
PIPL is one of the most widely reused data sources in UserSearch, appearing across several search types rather than being tied to a single one.
What PIPL is
Section titled “What PIPL is”PIPL specialises in identity resolution: taking a single identifier — a name, email address, phone number or username — and linking it to a broader identity. It exposes two datasets:
- Social — profiles, usernames and linked accounts associated with a person.
- Business — employment, professional and organisation-linked records associated with a person.
In UserSearch, PIPL is a passive OSINT source: querying it does not contact the person you are searching for.
What it returns
Section titled “What it returns”For a matched identifier, PIPL can return linked personal identifiers and profile information drawn from its Social and Business datasets.
Search types that use PIPL
Section titled “Search types that use PIPL”Within UserSearch, PIPL appears as a data source under the following search types:
- Username
- Phone
- People
- Vehicle
Under the People search type, PIPL contributes through its Social and Business datasets. It is also available inside OneScan, the Module that runs several data sources at once, where results attributed to PIPL are labelled in the Data Source column.
How to access it in UserSearch
Section titled “How to access it in UserSearch”- Choose one of the search types above (for example Email or People).
- Enter your identifier and run the search.
- Locate the PIPL Module in the results — or open it directly from the Module list for that search type.
- In merged results such as OneScan, use the Data Source column to identify rows that came from PIPL.
