Google Patents is a search service that indexes published patent and patent-application documents from patent offices around the world. UserSearch integrates Google Patents as a Module, letting you look up patent records for a person, company, or invention directly inside the platform.

What it is

Google Patents aggregates full-text patent documents from multiple national and international patent authorities into a single searchable index. Each record ties an invention to the parties behind it — inventors and assignees — along with the document’s identifiers, dates, and classification. As an OSINT source it draws only on already-published patent filings, which are public by nature.

What data it returns

For a matching patent record, Google Patents can surface:

• Patent title and abstract
• Patent or publication number and document type
• Inventor names and assignee (the owning person or organisation)
• Filing, priority, publication, and grant dates
• Patent office and classification codes
• Links to the full published document

2. Enter your input — an inventor name, company name, or product or invention term.
3. Choose the Google Patents Module (or run OneScan to query it alongside other Product data sources).
4. Run the search.
